If you haven’t heard, I challenged 100 great novels featured on PBS’ The Great American Read, to a public voting competition to discover America’s ‘best-loved book’. Dad’s book, “Rowena” wasn’t published at the time their show first aired so of course, they couldn’t have included it, but something changed so the competition could take place.
I converted “Rowena” to a downloadable PDF that was free, and encouraged people to vote for it daily, just like viewers could for any of the books on the PBS series, if it became one of their favorite books.
The hope was that we’d finish with so many votes, someone in Publishing Land would take notice and dad would finally get his books published. A historic victory didn’t happen but I’m still working on getting his writings to the public and to stay current on what’s happening, you can sign up for free email updates from us.
